As a City Council, we want to assure you that providing quality water and citizen- focused public safety is very important to us.

Public Works

At this time, our Public Works staff is temporarily only 30% fully staffed

 We are reorganizing to better serve our citizens with greater efficiency and productivity while controlling costs.

 TCEQ water quality measures remain in effect.

 Police Dept 

Our Police Dept is also short staffed due to hospitalizations and illnesses. Additionally, like other Texas cities we too are experiencing the state-wide shortage of police officers.

 Water Meter Replacement

The Accurate Meter Supply Smart Water Meter Replacement project is almost 82% complete.

 Expect about a 30-minute water outage when Accurate Meter Supply technicians replace your meter.

The new smart water meters will account for water usage to date that may not have been accurately billed by old and not fully functioning meters.

 The new smart water meters will account actual water usage used thus far.
